Los Bosquesinos (People Of The Forests)

An intercultural collaboration between the Wampís community of Guayabal and UK artist Aboutface, capturing the essence of the Amazon Rainforest through traditional Wampís Nampet songs—ancient animal chants—blended with indigenous percussion, violin, bamboo flute, acoustic guitar, and electronics. Recorded during a month-long residency in the rainforest, the project supports Wampís-led efforts to protect their territory from environmental threats, with all sales funding eco-initiatives and cultural preservation.
