JID002: Roy Ayers

Recorded in relative secret as unsuspecting fans attended some of his absurdly successful shows as part of Jazz Is Dead’s Black History Month series, legendary vibraphone player Roy Ayers teamed up with Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad to create Roy Ayers JID002. The LP sports some of Ayers’ most languid, haunting work to date, as ghostly vocals crawl over the dream-like ‘Soulful and Unique’ and ‘Hey Lover’.
