To commemorate the 50th anniversary of his 1974 classic, Neil Young offers a special limited-edition pressing of On the Beach on clear vinyl with the number ā50ā emblazoned on the cover. Released on NovemberāÆ8,āÆ2024, via Reprise, this edition presents a fully remastered version of the eight-track album originally recorded at Broken Arrow Ranch and Sunset Sound.
The original album features contributions from core Crazy Horse members Billy Talbot and Ralph Molina, alongside collaborations with members of The Band (Levon Helm, Rick Danko), CSNY (David Crosby, Graham Nash), and longtime bandmates including Ben Keith and Rusty Kershaw.
This release follows Neil Youngās Official Release Series of remastered albums, specifically marking On the Beach as VolumeāÆ06 in the collection. (Note: despite fan hopes, this edition does not include bonus tracks, expanded packaging, or archival content beyond the remastered LP itself.)Ā
