Fly Anakin is a rapper and producer whose unique approach to music sets him apart from his contemporaries. With a razor-sharp lyrical style, soulful production, and a decade of experience, the Richmond, Virginia native’s unorthodox yet prolific work has solidified his place in the underground rap scene.

A cofounder of Mutant Academy, Anakin’s rise began with a string of collaborations, including the highly praised FlySiifu’s project with Pink Siifu in 2020, followed by their $mokebreak EP in 2021. His solo debut, Frank (2022), earned widespread acclaim and showcased his evolution as both an MC and producer. Influenced by the golden age of East Coast rap, Anakin blends classic sounds with pioneering production, working with artists like Freddie Gibbs, redveil, BbyMutha, and MAVI.

With The Forever Dream, Anakin enters a new era of creative freedom, exploring more experimental and ambitious territory. Executive produced by Quelle Chris, the album features collaborations with Denmark Vessey, The Alchemist, BbyMutha, and Pink Siifu. The project reflects a relaxed, experimental vibe, with Anakin and Quelle working closely together, learning and growing through their collaboration. “It was time to make some mindless music,” Anakin says, embracing a less structured approach to production.
